Born and raised in South London, British-Caribbean singer-songwriter ADANNAY weaves stories of queer Black joy and resistance into bops that make you think, smile and dance. Layering Caribbean folk with elements of Gospel, alt pop and soul in playful and innovative ways, ADANNAY’s sound is reminiscent of artists like Kojey Radical, Little Simz and Emily King while being totally their own.
I spent the day in an East London studio creating separate set designs to be used as social first marketing images for the release of ADANNAY’s new songs: Send For Me, Misleading Is The Medicine, Love Her Anyway & Finally. We had a great time blasting their new tunes whilst I took this images.
